Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital Exciting Opportunities at a Newly Owned Practice! Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital is thrilled to announce its transition to new ownership, now led by a dedicated team of two experienced veterinarians.
As we embark on this new chapter, we're looking to expand our passionate team by adding a Receptionist and a Veterinary Technician to our family.

Receptionist Key
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, offering a warm and welcoming experience.
- Manage client appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
- Handle incoming calls and emails, providing information and routing messages as necessary.
- Maintain client and patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Assist with client education on basic animal care and hospital services.
Skills and
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in office software and phone systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a veterinary hospital or similar setting is preferred but not required.
Position 2:
Veterinary Technician (RVTs Encouraged to Apply) Key
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in patient care and medical treatments, including taking rooms, client interaction, and history taking.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide nursing care and emergency first aid to patients as needed.
- Educate clients on pet health, care, and medications.
- Maintain clean and sterile treatment areas and equipment.
Skills and
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (or equivalent experience).
Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Excellent client service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with veterinary software and equipment is a plus.
