Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team.
As a Cook at Citrus Heights Post Acute, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that contribute to their overall well-being.
You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of appetizing and nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferencesEnsure that all food preparation and cooking activities adhere to safety and sanitation standardsCollaborate with dietary staff to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs or restrictionsMaintain inventory of food supplies and place orders as neededClean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areasAssist with meal service and provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a cook in a healthcare or senior living setting preferredKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to follow recipes and dietary guidelinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
